In the name of all that's holy!

You must check out other peoples' blogs - there are people out there who are doing amazing posts that show incredible artistic, technological, organizational, AND math ability! You cannot help but learn something!

And if you want to encourage these people to continue to help us all organize, understand, and remember this stuff, please leave a comment!

I mean after all, it's just not that thrilling to keep getting comments only from your teacher.

Who is a BIT biased.

About blogs.

And math.

And her students.

And her students' blogs about math, so check these out and talk back to:

This week's class news

First of all thanks again to Kaily for turning on your webcam and participating in that voicethread for our presentation this week! Everyone was really interested to see our real live students from all over Quebec!

Next, some fabulous posts from this week can be found if you simply click on these names:

Olivia (colourful trig points summary)
Mason (nice summary of exponential functions)
Joey (great tips for unit circle)
Patrick (fascinating fractals)
Madison (excellent summary of B17)
Laura (nice observation about trig)
Taylor (another great review summary for June exam)

Finally, Patrick's ongoing investigation of fractals made this video catch my eye and blow my mind as well, by the same vihart math lady who created the one about spirals....love her but I just wish she would stop dis-ing math teachers!

I wonder how they do these videos - obviously time-lapse but I bet it takes a boatload of time. I did a time-lapse project in university that played for under 1 minute, and it took us a few weeks to get it filmed and edited. With an old super-8 mind you. So yeah this must take, what, months? Hmmmm....getting an idea now for a future lesson.....

Blogging tonight about degrees vs radians:

Tonight check out these blogs for a summary: Mickey, Emilie, Joey, and Corey. Also, Happy belated e-day! Yes there is such a thing! I thought it would be on Feb 18, in other words, 2.18, but apparently, I do not know how much e is, for it is 2.718. And so I missed e-day. It was yesterday, Feb 7th!

Tonight's bloggers!

The people who are blogging for Sci math tonight are Donald, Arnold, and Joey. Make sure you read at least one of these (all 3 would be even better to compare!) and then comment on at least one of them. Remember "Whoah great post dude" does NOT count!
